Elders
Bryan A:
Bryan has been attending Christ’s Church at Tiffin since 1991
along with his wife, Jeanne, and their three sons, Jeremy, Drew, and Aaron.
Through the years Bryan has been involved with Vacation Bible School and teaching Adult Bible Fellowship classes. He and Jeanne have taught the Senior High Bible study classes as well. Bryan has been and is currently very active with the building facilities including serving on the Facilities Ministry and acting as ministry head of the Building Committee.
Bryan graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Construction Management and is currently the Chief Estimator for Danis Building Construction Company in Dublin, Ohio.
When not working or involved with church, Bryan enjoys spending time with family including the many sports that go along with three very active and athletic boys. He also works on projects around the house, and many outdoor activities such as biking, camping, and hiking.
Bryan is excited to serve with the other elders during such a time of tremendous potential and growth within Christ’s Church. It has been a very rewarding and challenging time but with God’s guidance our mission to lead people into a personal, lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ will remain strong.
Jim S: (Elder Chairman)
Jim and his wife, Elaine, have been attending Christ’s Church at Tiffin since 1997. They have two children, a son Drew and a daughter Haylee. Jim is active on the worship team on Sunday mornings and at WAVE as a bass player. He has also been a ministry head and teacher for the FROG’ers (Fully Rely on God) children’s program.
Jim graduated from Tiffin University with an associate degree in Criminal Justice and is a reserve deputy for Sandusky County.
Jim loves spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys Christian rock music and seeing the teens at WAVE worship God through music. His hobbies include ATV 4-wheeling trips, wildlife and working around his house and property.
Gary T:
Gary grew up in church but turned complete control of his life over to Christ 18 years ago when he and his wife Martha (Marty) began attending Christ’s Church at Tiffin. Since then, Gary has been active in many ministries within this church body. He has served two previous terms as an elder and thus has a good understanding of what this ministry requires. In addition, he has served as leader of the mission’s team, is a member of the worship team, has been a member of search teams and has served in our youth Sunday school classes.
Gary is happy to be a part of a body of believers with a clear outlined mission, vision and values that are true to Scripture and a clear picture of who we are as a church and what direction we are traveling. He is excited to have the opportunity to become a part of seeing that vision come about.
Gary loves to get to know people, is a good listener and is genuinely considerate of others. When asked why he desired to be an elder of this congregation he replied, “Realizing what God has done for me in my life, I know I need to be a servant for Him. I know that sometimes this will be out of my comfort zone but is something I feel called to do. I feel there are new and exciting blessings in store for Christ’s Church at Tiffin and I want to help do God’s will here.”
Gary has been married to Martha (Marty) for 47 years and they have raised four children whom all have committed their lives to Christ. Gary is retired but still works part-time as a mail contractor.
